Show Your Support For Mental Health, Others and Yourself

Talk To Me is an annual event run by Con-X leadership students at Gleneagle Secondary School in Coquitlam, BC to raise awareness about mental health in the local community. Each year, Talk To Me features student and guest speakers sharing inspiring stories with the audience. This year, we have partnered up with Jack.org, Canada's only charity that trains and empowers young leaders to revolutionize mental health, to present Talk to Me 7.0.

With the purpose of destigmatizing discussions surrounding mental health, our theme this year is “Initiating empowerment, giving power to all.” The conference features speakers from Jack.org, as well as student and guest speakers sharing their stories with mental illnesses. This year, due to COVID, we will be hosting a pre-filmed virtual conference, with screenings and our major release in April. There will also be a podcast in the months of February and March, leading up to the release of the conference.

Work with us to build a safer, increasingly understanding community by empowering yourself and those around you.

About: Welcome

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Talk to Me 7.0 will consist of two parts: a podcast and a conference.

Our podcast, How are you today? will run from February to April, leading into our conference. You can look forward to open, modern discussions on various topics rarely touched upon in daily life. Conversations on anxiety, grief, and mental health will be led by our student hosts and unique guests.

Our conference will be released in April! With potential physical screenings, those hoping for an immersive experience will be able to engage in educational, empowering talks and activities. After physical screenings, the conference will be made available to the general public digitally.

PODCAST

How are you today?

How are you today? Really, how are you feeling? Everyone has difficulties, yet we often struggle to speak about them openly. How are you today? is a podcast inviting guests to discuss 'taboo' topics surrounding mental health and wellbeing hosted by the student organizers of Talk to Me 7.0. Join us for real, honest discussion on topics difficult to stumble across in your daily life.
